PALMER Family of Winthorpe and Saleby

John Palmer is a member of the Palmer Family of Winthorpe and Saleby. This family are of the minor gentry of Lincolnshire with a pedigree extending back to Robert Palmer of Winthorpe in the early 16th Century. The pedigree is listed in Maddison's Lincolnshire Pedigrees (Vol 3) of 1904 (p 751-757). More details of the last few generations of the family, living in Saleby and including John Palmer, can be found in Dudding's 1922 publication: History OF THE MANOR AND PARISH OF Saleby with Thoresthorpe IN THE COUNTY OF LINCOLN WITH SOME OWNERS (p 134-135) [Transcript].
